Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in medical receptionist or similar administrative role
  • Ability to travel to multiple office locations
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility with work hours and office assignments
  • Capability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in medical receptionist or front office roles preferred
  • Knowledge of EHR systems such as Nextgen
  • Proficiency in insurance verification processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in dynamic environments
  • Experience with scheduling and patient check-in procedures
  • Ability to work independently and travel frequently
  • Adaptability to varied office environments and tasks

Job Duties

  • Travel to designated locations assigned weekly by regional managers
  • Report to regional managers and site-specific Practice Site Administrator
  • Cover for patient representatives, switchboard and surgical coordinator during PTO, FMLA, and open positions
  • Assist Practice Site Administrator with all tasks
  • Support operations department with special projects and new staff training
  • Participate in merger and acquisition training and Go-live processes
  • Prepare the office in the morning including equipment startup and message collection
  • Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments for Physicians, Allergy, and Audiology departments
  • Generate and update daily schedules and maintain weekly logs of patient activities
  • Greet patients, ensure completion and accuracy of paperwork, and enter data timely
  • Scan patient paperwork into EHR system
  • Verify insurance coverage and update patient information
  • Ensure HMO patients have valid referrals
  • Manage patient charts in Nextgen and EHR systems
  • Handle incoming faxes, mail, and deliveries
  • Maintain waiting room neatness
  • Ensure phone service is active, notify service of on-call personnel, and secure office doors
