Job Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, fluent in both
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between office locations
- Ability to work full-time during day hours
- Ability to stand, sit, reach above shoulder, lift/carry up to 10 lbs
- Willingness to adhere to all organizational security and confidentiality policies
- Patient-facing experience
- Ability to use and operate computers and common office equipment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Active and valid driver’s license required
- Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
- Familiarity with computer systems and medical terminology
- Ability to interact effectively with staff and patients while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent customer service skills with professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and use good judgment
- Capable of filing alpha and numerically
- Experience operating scanners, printers, and fax machines
Job Duties
- Check-in patients upon arrival including updating demographics, insurance information, and collecting co-pays and balances
- Check out patients and provide visit summaries, referral information, patient portal access, and follow-up appointments
- Verify patient insurance through Batch Eligibility or on demand and contact patients with inactive or inappropriate insurance
- Post patient charges and payments and complete charge and payment reconciliation
- Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system
- Sort and deliver mail and prior authorization documents
- Maintain clean and organized work and patient waiting areas
- Participate in staff and educational meetings
