Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of physician office experience preferred
- Ability to operate multiline telephone system
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Commitment to patient confidentiality

Job Duties
- Operate multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and direct callers
- Sort incoming mail and dispatch outgoing mail
- Schedule patient appointments by mail, phone, or in person
- Greet and assist patients, schedule appointments, maintain records and accounts
- Notify providers of patient arrivals and service delays to keep appointments on schedule
- Record and update financial information, collect patient charges, control credit extended to patients, and expedite third-party claims
- Maintain confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
- Contribute to team efforts as needed
