Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of medical receptionist experience
  • Experience with patient check-in and insurance verification
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
  • Availability to work Monday through Thursday 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM and Friday 7:45 AM to 12 PM
  • Ability to start immediately

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of medical receptionist experience
  • Experience handling patient check-in and insurance verification
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival
  • Verify demographic and insurance information
  • Enter information into electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Schedule appointments for patients both in-person and over the phone
  • Follow up on missed appointments
  • Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments or outstanding balances
  • Maintain and update patient records
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely scheduling
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns
  • Escalate issues to appropriate staff when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
  • Perform administrative duties including faxing, scanning, mail handling, and signing for packages
