Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to patient needs
  • Strong accountability and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel within 30 minutes of home and float to various locations

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
  • Strong focus on teamwork and patient care
  • Prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office preferred
  • Experience with Epic system preferred
  • CPR certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive and direct all communications courteously and consistently
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and office policies
  • Greet patients and visitors promptly and in a friendly manner
  • Assist patients with the sign-in process and respond to their needs promptly
  • Support financial responsibilities including billing, collections, and preparing bank deposits
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory and equipment
  • Manage patient check-in process verifying demographic information and insurance eligibility
  • Handle patient check-out process including posting charges, collecting balances, and scheduling appointments
  • Promote patient satisfaction through excellent service
  • Maintain efficient and accurate filing and record systems
  • Assemble new patient folders and manage records retrieval
  • Adapt work schedule to meet practice needs, including cross-covering and working additional hours
  • Serve as a pre-loader for the EMR system
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
  • Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
