Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- previous medical clerical experience preferred
- good computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
- excellent communication and phone skills
- attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously
- friendly and professional demeanor
- ability to handle payments and maintain financial documentation
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- previous medical clerical experience preferred
- good computer knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Office
- accuracy and detail orientation
- positive customer service skills
- well-groomed appearance
- clear and articulate phone mannerisms
Job Duties
- Familiar with medical billing
- front desk and reception skills
- good phone and follow up skills
- work with insurance companies and follow up with patients for billing and A/R
- accounts payable
- manage administrative tasks
- greet patients, provide patients with initial paperwork and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards as needed
- register patients, update patient records, verify insurance accurately and timely, and check patients in and out
- determine, collect, and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues
- respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests
- balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports
- complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports
- complete cash control procedures and secure financial assets
- maintain complete and accurate documentation
- other duties and responsibilities as assigned
