Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or higher
  • 1+ years of receptionist experience or equivalent customer service or admin-related experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or higher
  • 1+ years of receptionist experience or equivalent customer service or admin-related experience
  • experience working with electronic health records preferred
  • office administrative/receptionist/clerical experience in a medical environment preferred
  • customer service experience in retail or hospitality preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Job Duties

  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols
  • Consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making
  • Use call processing and other EHR functionalities to take messages and communicate with clinicians
  • Greet patients and conduct check-in process
  • Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
  • Scan and index documents into the EHR ensuring availability for patient visits
  • Close payment batches at shift end according to cash control procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA and ProHealth policies
  • Assist coworkers to assure smooth office operation and excellent service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
