Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience or equivalent customer service or administrative experience
  • Ability to schedule and triage appointments efficiently
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Capability to handle cash transactions accurately and follow cash control policies
  • Willingness to work a schedule including rotating Saturdays
  • Ability to adhere to OSHA standards and office policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • 1 year of receptionist experience or equivalent customer service or admin-related experience
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • Office administrative, receptionist, or clerical experience in a medical environment
  • Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or related fields
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Job Duties

  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols
  • Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
  • Greet patients and conduct check-in process
  • Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
  • Scan and index documents into the EHR ensuring documents and lab results are available in advance
  • Close payment batches at the end of each shift and assemble and balance batches according to cash control procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA and ProHealth policies
  • Assist coworkers as needed to assure smooth office operation and delivery of service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
