Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- 1 years of experience in a medical office clinic or healthcare setting
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook
- Dependable punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- 1 years of experience in a medical office clinic or healthcare setting
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook
- 1 years of customer service experience preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks or similar preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology billing and insurance verification processes preferred
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as fax scanner copier multi-line phone systems preferred
Job Duties
- Centralized scheduling making appointments outreach to patients
- Greeting patients as they arrive and manage 15-minute wait time
- Assist patients with intake processes including copying required documents
- Collect co-payments co-insurance and deductibles and issue receipts
- Process walk-in patients and visitors
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Manage medical records including maintain files scan and prepare for schedule
- Ensure all correspondence is scanned and filed in a timely manner
- Process requests for medical records release and maintain appropriate logs
- Perform other duties as assigned
