Job Requirements

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in medical administrative role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be reliable with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations if applicable
  • Availability for evening and weekend rotations if applicable
  • Ability to handle high-volume practice
  • Position is in person

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a medical administrative role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and customer service excellence
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer use
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
  • Prior experience in ophthalmology a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-ins and check-outs
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently and manage provider schedules
  • Answer phones and manage messages with clear communication
  • Verify patient information and insurance eligibility accurately
  • Collect co-pays and ensure accurate daily financial reporting
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues when necessary
  • Collaborate effectively with providers, clinical, administrative staff, and external partners
