Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience in a medical setting preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to travel to CVR Woburn and Framingham clinics
- Availability to work Monday through Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM
- Ability to handle patient information with confidentiality in line with HIPAA
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic record systems
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Ability to operate NextGen or other electronic health record systems
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner and check in/out
- Ensure all CVR policies and procedures are distributed, understood, and implemented by assigned center staff
- Maintain compliance by keeping patient charts up to date, HIPAA compliant, and properly entering demographics, procedures, and payments in NextGen
- Review scheduling and financial responsibilities and referrals with patients throughout care
- Send precertification forms daily to the Precertification Department for patients requiring authorization
- Complete daily close tasks including fee tickets, billing tasks, and operative notes
- Review future schedules to confirm patient preauthorization
- Obtain and update new patient forms in NextGen/EHR
- Collect necessary paperwork such as authorizations, referrals, and copays at time of service
- Schedule and confirm appointments and collect email addresses from patients
