Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems
  • ability to manage front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • good organizational skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • availability to work in office environment
  • passing background check and drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (Athenahealth preferred)
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • proficiency in multitasking and handling administrative duties
  • basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • customer service experience
  • attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Greeting and registering patients for their appointment
  • providing the necessary paperwork
  • confirming and/or updating insurance coverage and patient demographic information
  • collecting patient balances and co-pays
  • appropriately tracking and recording all payments collected and assisting patients with their benefits questions
  • supporting incoming calls and other office correspondence
  • scheduling and confirming appointments
  • triaging calls for clinical team
  • taking vitals
  • rooming patients
  • cleaning rooms
  • assisting with procedures
