Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or higher
  • minimum 1 year of receptionist experience
  • ability to work Monday through Friday with flexible 8-hour shifts between 7:15 AM and 5:30 PM EST
  • willingness to travel to other sites as needed
  • ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in using electronic health records
  • compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • pass a drug test before employment

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or higher
  • 1 year of receptionist experience
  • experience working with electronic health records
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • office administrative, receptionist or clerical experience in a medical environment
  • knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

Job Duties

  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols
  • consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making when necessary
  • answer incoming and make outgoing calls regarding appointment requests and follow up
  • use call processing and other functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
  • greet patients and conduct check-in process
  • monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments
  • scan and index documents into the EHR ensuring necessary documents and lab results are available
  • close and balance payment batches according to cash control procedures
  • maintain knowledge of OSHA and ProHealth policies
  • assist coworkers to ensure smooth office operations and delivery of excellent service
  • perform other duties as assigned
