Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience with electronic medical record systems
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, paperless environment
  • successful completion of background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience with electronic medical record systems (Athenahealth preferred)
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • familiarity with patient privacy standards
  • customer service experience in healthcare setting

Job Duties

  • Greet and register patients for their appointment
  • provide necessary paperwork
  • confirm and update insurance coverage and patient demographic information
  • collect patient balances and co-pays
  • track and record all payments collected
  • assist patients with benefits questions
  • support incoming calls and other office correspondence including scheduling and confirming appointments
  • triage calls for clinical team
  • take vitals
  • room patients
  • clean rooms
  • assist with procedures while providing excellent medical care
