Job Requirements

  • post high school office procedures preferred
  • minimum one year of clerical and/or receptionist experience or six months in a medical setting
  • customer service experience
  • degree or relevant certificate e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator may be substituted for experience

Job Qualifications

  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • greet patients and families upon arrival
  • answer and direct telephone calls
  • assist patients and families with scheduling and registration
  • enter charges and post payments accurately
  • perform batch balancing and cash reconciliation
  • operate basic office equipment
  • maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor during all interactions
