Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
 - a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred
 - active and valid driver's license upon hire and during employment
 - ability to learn and follow Pediatric Associates procedures, policies, and protocols
 - proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal communication skills
 - ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
 - knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired
 - excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
 - maintain patient confidentiality
 - experience using office technology including computers, scanners, printers, and fax machines
 - ability to stand, sit, and perform manual tasks including lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs
 - willingness to work rotating Saturdays and travel to multiple office locations as required
 
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- check in patients and update demographics and insurance information
 - collect co-pays and patient balances
 - provide consents for signature and distribute health questionnaires
 - check out patients and collect additional balances
 - provide visit summaries, referral and follow-up information
 - verify patient insurance eligibility
 - contact patients with inactive insurance or inappropriate PCP
 - post patient charges and payments and reconcile accounts
 - scan and upload documents in the management system
 - sort and deliver mail and maintain a clean work environment
 - participate in staff and educational meetings
