Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role preferred
  • strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • proficiency with computer systems and EMR software
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • willingness to adhere to professional standards and comply with legal regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role preferred
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
  • proficiency with computer skills and electronic medical records (EMR)
  • excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • preferred bilingual skills, especially Spanish speaking

Job Duties

  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of visit
  • checks patients in and out of the clinic and verifies that all patient information is accurate and up to date
  • schedules follow-up appointments in person or on the phone and calls to confirm appointments
  • secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records
  • maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures
  • keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt
  • keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
  • serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements
  • enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
