Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of previous medical office experience
  • proficiency in Athena, MyChart, Epic, or other EHR systems
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
  • ability to travel between locations with reliable transportation
  • physical ability to walk, stand, or sit throughout the day
  • punctuality and dependability

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of previous medical office experience required
  • Athena, MyChart, Epic, or other EHR experience and proficiency required
  • strong oral and written communication skills necessary
  • detailed oriented with ability to multitask
  • comfortable scheduling and checking in patients
  • must have strong attention to detail
  • able to walk, stand or sit throughout the day

Job Duties

  • Greeting every patient with compassion
  • accurately completing and updating patients' insurance information
  • verifying insurance eligibility
  • accurately utilizing the Electronic Health Record system
  • completing the check in/out process
  • scheduling appointments for patients and providers
  • walking patients to the clinical area and instructing them on exam preparation
  • protecting patient health information and patient confidentiality at all times
  • following practice and billing policies
