Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in medical clerical work preferred
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous medical clerical experience preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility and opening all system applications
  • Greet patients and provide initial paperwork including obtaining copies of insurance and identification cards
  • Register patients, update records, verify insurance, and check patients out
  • Determine, collect, and process payments and address collection and billing issues
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and assist with follow-up appointments and medical documentation requests
  • Balance daily patient charges against system reports
  • Complete closing procedures and cash control protocols
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
