Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Must have reliable transportation to clinics that may not be accessible by public transportation
- Must be able to travel to CVR Avon and Greenwood Clinics
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members
- Proficient with electronic health records systems like NextGen
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle fast-paced work environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance procedures
- Reliable transportation to reach multiple clinic locations
Job Duties
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner and check in/out
- Ensure all CVR policies and procedures are distributed, understood, and implemented by assigned staff
- Maintain compliance with patient chart updates, HIPAA, and input of demographics, procedures, payments into NextGen
- Review scheduling and financial responsibilities and referrals with each patient
- Send precertification forms daily to the Precertification Department
- Complete daily close tasks including fee tickets, billing, and operative notes
- Review future schedules to confirm preauthorizations
- Obtain and update new patient forms properly in NextGen/EHR
- Collect necessary paperwork such as authorizations and referrals
- Collect copays and patient balances at time of service
- Schedule and confirm appointments, collect patient email addresses
