Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • Must have reliable transportation to clinics that may not be accessible by public transportation
  • Must be able to travel to CVR Avon and Greenwood Clinics

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members
  • Proficient with electronic health records systems like NextGen
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance procedures
  • Reliable transportation to reach multiple clinic locations

Job Duties

  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner and check in/out
  • Ensure all CVR policies and procedures are distributed, understood, and implemented by assigned staff
  • Maintain compliance with patient chart updates, HIPAA, and input of demographics, procedures, payments into NextGen
  • Review scheduling and financial responsibilities and referrals with each patient
  • Send precertification forms daily to the Precertification Department
  • Complete daily close tasks including fee tickets, billing, and operative notes
  • Review future schedules to confirm preauthorizations
  • Obtain and update new patient forms properly in NextGen/EHR
  • Collect necessary paperwork such as authorizations and referrals
  • Collect copays and patient balances at time of service
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, collect patient email addresses
