Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and medical terminology preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Ability to learn and practice Pediatric Associates procedures, policies, and protocols
- Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired
- Ability to interact effectively and maintain professional relationships with staff
- Excellent customer service skills, capable of greeting and receiving patients and visitors professionally and friendly
- Maintain professional and excellent phone etiquette, speak clearly and concisely
- Use good judgment and maintain patient confidentiality
- Experience using computer systems, scanners, printers, fax machines
Job Duties
- Check in patients upon arrival, update demographics and insurance information, collect copays and patient balances, provide consent forms and health questionnaires
- Check out patients, collect additional balances, provide visit summaries, referrals, patient portal information, completed forms, and schedule follow-up appointments
- Verify patient insurance status, contact patients for insurance or PCP issues
- Post patient charges and payments, complete charge and payment reconciliation
- Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system
- Sort and deliver mail and PA documents received by courier, maintain clean work and patient waiting areas
- Participate in staff and educational meetings
