  • at least two years of medical receptionist experience
  • reliable transportation
  • experience with emr/electronic medical record systems
  • ability to verify insurances
  • experience scheduling patient appointments
  • proficiency with computer systems
  • accuracy in work
  • customer service oriented

  • medical terminology: 2 years
  • medical office experience: 2 years
  • emr systems: 2 years
  • experience with insurance verification
  • proficiency in scheduling
  • strong customer service skills
  • computer proficiency

Job Duties

  • verify and enter demographic information
  • verify insurances
  • obtain insurance authorizations/precertification
  • scheduling patients
  • determine and accept required payments, including co-insurances, co-pays and deductibles
  • provide general office support
  • all other duties assigned
  • experience in an orthotic and prosthetic office preferred
