Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least one year of current front office experience preferably in a medical office setting
- Strong phone and computer skills with working knowledge of practice based medical office processes and procedures
- Demonstrated communication skills written and verbal
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines
- Knowledge of medical information and electronic medical records systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals
- Ability to organize and prioritize work as required

Job Duties
- Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner in person or over the phone
- Obtains accurate patient demographic information and updates records in the computer system
- Scans or copies patients' driver’s license/ID and insurance cards for electronic health record
- Requests payment at time of service and provides receipts
- Answers multi-line telephone calls, schedules appointments, takes messages and handles referral requests
- Maintains office operations by following electronic health record and office policies
- Assists with printing/copying medical records and verifies insurance eligibility
