Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or related field preferred
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
- Experience supporting clinicians and managing front office operations
Job Duties
- Create a positive work environment and support clinician and staff engagement activities
- Conduct schedule prep to ensure paperwork, documentation, and patient charts are complete and accurate
- Manage front desk duties including greeting and checking patients in and out
- Provide exceptional customer service responding promptly to patient needs and difficult situations
- Handle payment and billing inquiries via phone, email, and portals
- Assist patients with telehealth access and troubleshooting
- Perform insurance eligibility verification and resolve issues
- Support clinicians with administrative tasks such as sending letters and faxes
- Audit clinician schedules for appointment accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and appeal of the office environment
- Manage phone system queues to ensure timely call responses
- Triage urgent patient requests and escalate as needed
- Collect co-payments and balances at the time of service
