Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to comply with COVID-19 vaccination and booster requirements or have approved exemption
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar environment preferred
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday on a day shift
  • Proficient in using computers, phone systems, and common office software
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience as a medical receptionist preferred
  • 1 year experience as a medical assistant preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and vendors
  • Obtain and enter patient demographic information into the Epic System
  • Check patients in and out
  • Room patients, take their vital signs and input into the EMR System
  • Schedule appointments for return and new patients
  • Review any documents given to patient by provider
  • Answer any incoming calls regarding scheduling appointments or prior authorizations for Imaging or Medication refills
  • Assist the Providers in procedures
  • Follow daily routine opening checklist and closing checklist
  • Make sure each patient room is fully stocked
  • Keep front reception area clean and organized
  • Inform Office Manager if the office is running low on any office or medical supplies
  • General clerical duties include but not limited to scanning charts into the EMR system, follow up calls to patients, use of email, phone, computers, and Google Apps
