Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience with insurance verification and medical billing required
  • Tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems
  • Ability to communicate complex billing information clearly
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Past work experience in medical office or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work full-time with some evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance verification and medical billing
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts empathetically to patients
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data handling
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service role in a medical office setting
  • Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude in handling challenging financial conversations

Job Duties

  • Master insurance verification by meticulously verifying coverage before services are provided and preventing claim denials
  • Excel at financial counseling by confidently explaining costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients
  • Solve billing problems proactively by identifying and resolving insurance discrepancies and billing issues
  • Drive patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations
  • Be the face of AFC by greeting patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Own the front desk flow by processing payments, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-ins efficiently
  • Protect patient information by maintaining organized records and strictly following HIPAA regulations
