Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • experience with insurance verification and medical billing
  • strong communication skills
  • detail-oriented mindset
  • proficiency with billing software and EMR
  • ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • X-Ray Tech, Medical Assistant, or related certification is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with insurance verification and medical billing
  • ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and empathetically
  • strong attention to detail
  • previous roles as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, or in customer service within a medical office
  • proficiency with medical billing software and EMR systems
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • positive attitude in challenging financial conversations

Job Duties

  • Master insurance verification by meticulously verifying coverage before services are provided
  • excel at financial counseling by confidently explaining costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients
  • solve billing problems by proactively identifying and resolving insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue
  • drive patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional service during financial conversations
  • be the face of AFC by greeting patients with warmth and professionalism
  • own the front desk flow by efficiently processing payments, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-ins
  • protect patient information by maintaining organized records following HIPAA regulations
