Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • completion of medical office assisting program preferred
  • minimum two years healthcare experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • ability to build rapport with diverse patients
  • strong customer service skills
  • knowledge of adult learning techniques
  • dependable and flexible
  • problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • leadership abilities
  • proficient with office technology and email
  • intermediate computer literacy
  • excellent organizational skills
  • multitasking capabilities
  • able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds on wheels

  • able to reach above shoulder level and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • completed training program in Medical Office Assisting from accredited college preferred
  • two years of experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • possess a valid driver’s license
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • able to build and maintain rapport with patients and providers of differing backgrounds
  • customer-service oriented
  • familiarity with adult learning and general training techniques
  • positive professional insight
  • flexibility and dependability
  • demonstrated good problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • effective leadership and supervisory skills
  • knowledge of modern office practices and procedures including email

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt clerical support
  • promote smooth patient flow
  • collect and record data accurately
  • maintain order of the front office, equipment and supplies
