- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and multi-line phone systems
- Reliable transportation required for travel between designated practice locations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in dermatology or specialty medical practice preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience with electronic health records and practice management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule appointments across multiple providers and locations efficiently
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient demographic information
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including payment collection
- Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take detailed messages
- Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations with insurance companies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Travel between assigned practice locations to provide coverage as needed
- Support office operations including filing, data entry, and inventory management
