Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Commitment to professional and warm patient interactions
Job Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required
- One year previous medical office experience preferred
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask
Job Duties
- Greeting every patient with a smile
- Completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
- Utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate patients' visits
- Completing the check-out process by assisting patients with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information
- Verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
- Collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
- Answering the appointment line and checking the email appointment request system
- Scheduling appointments for patients at office sites and diagnostic departments
- Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring each patient's encounter is professional, warm, and caring
