Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prior experience in medical office or urgent care setting preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in medical office or urgent care setting preferred
- Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic health records preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance procedures, and HIPAA regulations preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with positive attitude and professional demeanor
Job Duties
- Ensure the clinic is ready to open each day by inspecting the facility, launching computer system applications, and organizing registration packets
- Greet patients and provide initial paperwork, obtaining copies of insurance and ID cards
- Register patients, update records, verify insurance, and check patients out accurately and timely
- Determine, collect, and process patient payments and resolve billing issues
- Address patient needs courteously, including scheduling follow-ups and fulfilling medical documentation requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and front desk
- Reconcile daily patient charges and investigate discrepancies
- Complete closing procedures and submit required reports
- Perform cash control procedures and secure financial assets
- Maintain thorough documentation and patient confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
