Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- completed training program in medical office assisting preferred
- 2 years of experience in healthcare setting preferred
- possess valid driver’s license
- able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds
- able to hear and speak clearly for effective communication
- able to read memos, computer screens, forms, and documents
- high manual dexterity
- able to reach above shoulder level, bend, squat, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist and turn
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- completed training program in medical office assisting preferred
- 2 years of healthcare experience preferred
- possess valid driver’s license
- bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- customer-service oriented
- ability to build and maintain rapport with diverse patients and providers
- good problem-solving skills
- sound judgment
- leadership or supervisory skills
- proficiency with modern office practices, email, and intermediate computer skills
- attention to detail
- ability to multitask
Job Duties
- Provide prompt clerical support
- promote smooth patient flow
- collect and record data accurately
- maintain order of the front office, equipment, and supplies
- achieve organizational mission to provide healthcare access to the community
- ensure patients and families get care when needed
- communicate consistently and openly with supervisor and staff
- work flexible or extended hours as necessary
- participate in health center in-services and meetings
- abide by rules of confidentiality
