Job Description
Connecticut Orthopaedics is recognized as the premier orthopaedic physician practice in Connecticut, having secured the number one spot for two consecutive years by Castle Connolly. As the largest private orthopaedic practice in New England, Connecticut Orthopaedics has built a strong reputation over 60 years of dedicated service to the Greater New Haven and Fairfield County communities. The organization is deeply committed to delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service, supported by a team of highly skilled orthopaedic doctors and healthcare professionals. The culture at Connecticut Orthopaedics fosters excellence, innovation, and collaboration, creating a supportive environment both for patients and staff alike. Joining this practice means becoming a part of a prestigious and growing healthcare establishment that prioritizes quality medical treatment and patient satisfaction.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our exceptional care team at our Trumbull location. This role is pivotal in setting the tone for patient interactions as it offers the first point of contact within the practice. The Medical Receptionist will manage patient check-ins, verify insurance, and enter patient information into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. This position requires someone with a genuine passion for helping patients, exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, and strong communication skills. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the clinic by handling important administrative tasks such as co-pay processing, cash drawer management, and ensuring all actions comply with Connecticut Orthopaedics’ policies, HIPAA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
Our team values proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with insurance pre-approval processes. Additional knowledge of Workman’s Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accidents is considered a plus, reflecting our comprehensive approach to patient care management. We provide a supportive work environment where dedication, initiative, and a commitment to excellence are rewarded. If you are looking to advance your career in a dynamic healthcare setting with a well-established organization recognized for its leadership in orthopaedic care, this opportunity at Connecticut Orthopaedics is ideal.
