Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills
- Good command of English language
- Willingness to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Qualifications
- Medical office background
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably NextGen EMR
- Proficiency in computer and data entry skills
- Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Verify all patient and family demographics
- Verify all insurance information
- Check the online pre-visit registration through the Phreesia program, adding and/or correcting information in the patient database
- Follow-up on positive Coronavirus screening responses
- Assist parents with online payment of balances and copayments
- Help new patients complete registration forms
- Update patient electronic records including removing outdated alerts
- Assist patients with access to the Patient Portal
- Manage referrals to specialists and insurance inquiries
- Schedule future patient appointments
