Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and care
- Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Willingness to undergo TB screening as part of the patient-facing role
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM
- Flexibility to adjust schedule according to center needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience in customer service roles such as retail, hospitality, or call centers
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Value-based care model experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains long distance call logs
- Maintains the reception area
- Appointment scheduling
- Verification of insurances
- Collecting patient charges
- Takes and distributes accurate messages
- Greets visitors and determines the nature of their visit
- Issues visitor passes and maintains visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee
- Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as the organization's location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and/or email address
