Job Requirements
- Minimum high school degree
- One to two years experience in healthcare or medical practice preferred
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Proficiency or willingness to learn computer skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
- Ability to operate computer keyboard or typewriter
- Knowledge of insurance billing and referral procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High level of patience, tolerance and tact
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Initiative and assertiveness in problem-solving
Job Qualifications

- Vocational training in medical receptionist and medical billing preferred
- One to two years experience in healthcare or medical practice preferred

- Understanding of insurance regulations and billing procedures

Job Duties
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments
- Handle patient registration and verify insurance information
- Communicate effectively with physicians, hospital departments and insurance carriers
- Maintain accurate patient records and appointment logs
- Assist with medical billing and referral processes
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide support with administrative tasks
