Job Requirements

- proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Job Duties
- Support new clinic reception staff employees as they onboard and ensure reception training aligns with NVIH's core values and mission
- support new clinic operations staff employees in the workflow of clinic operations procedures specific to NVIH in line with policies and procedures
- assess proficiency and communicate with the direct supervisor to identify continued training needs
- create tailored training plans and implement various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance
- support CSS with monitoring new employees' progress toward goals
- provide enhanced training to support staff workflow in the EMR system and support new employees' adaptation to navigating the system while engaging with patients and performing job functions
- assist with introduction of new workflows and train employees
- support operations and assess staff competency with various reception workflows including check-in, check-out, patient registration, transportation scheduling, collecting payments, running insurance eligibility, scanning documents, opening and closing procedures, patient visit tracking, answering phone calls, managing voicemails and patient communication through the EMR portal, determining Family Pact and Every Woman Counts eligibility
- perform reception duties as necessary to support smooth clinic operations
- support the overall functioning of the medical clinic by following instructions and observing lines of communication as their position relates to the team
- responsible for communicating problems identified involving personnel, medical staff, patients, families, and the general public to the CSS and operations leadership
- responsible for communicating required updates to training materials and training methods with changing workflows
- other duties as assigned by supervisor
