Job Requirements
- High school diploma and three years of experience in a medical reception or equivalent management role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Proficiency with medical office systems
- Ability to lift 30lbs requiring mobility and physical demands
- Curry Health Center strongly encourages all employees to be current with CDC-recommended immunizations for health care workers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and three years of experience in a medical reception or equivalent management role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Proficiency with medical office systems
- Experience with insurance billing and insurance information preferred
- Experience working in health care settings preferred
- Degree in Medical Information Technology from an accredited university or college preferred
- Experience working as a receptionist in any setting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
Job Duties
- Facilitate patient flow ensuring timely service and communication of delays
- Communicate changes and schedule impacts to providers and patients
- Monitor and improve patient intake processes for efficiency and patient experience
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes in coordination with clinic leadership
- Review verify and update student immunization records in BANNER and the Immunization Compliance Monitor
- Manage student insurance information and serve as a backup for the student insurance program
- Provide general oversight and guidance to reception staff
- Train and mentor new reception personnel
- Supervise student employees and interns as assigned
