Job Requirements
- minimum high school diploma or GED
- two years of front office experience preferably in a medical setting
- one to two years of customer service experience
- excellent customer service
- attention to detail and willingness to learn
- proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- strong communication skills
- computer and database proficiency
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable asking patients probing questions
- demonstrate caring and compassionate attitude
- maintain HIPAA compliance
- multitasking and problem-solving skills
- typing 40 words per minute
- ability to travel to other sites within the geographic region
- full-time availability

Job Duties
- create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and demonstrate a caring attitude
- schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional tests as directed by physicians
- compile and ensure completeness of patient paperwork for daily appointments
- collect co-pays and past due balances and enter them into the daily batch in Practice Management
- enter accurate patient demographics and clinical data into Practice Management and EHR
- scan patient ID and insurance cards into the system
- ensure all necessary referrals are obtained and linked to appointments
- reconcile payment batches daily and submit to Site Manager
- schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- assist patients with Phreesia registration system
- travel to other sites within the geographic region as needed
