Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of customer service or public interaction experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Ability to perform clerical duties
  • Willingness to adhere to organizational standards and policies

Job Duties

  • Greets incoming patients and visitors providing congenial and hospitable customer service
  • Refers patients and visitors to appropriate departments or resources
  • Notifies appropriate resources of patients and visitors arrival promptly
  • Assures patient demographics and eligibility accuracy
  • Receives and forwards telephone calls, takes and relays messages per protocol
  • Registers new patients and schedules appointments for providers and services
  • Reschedules appointments and follows up on cancelled and missed appointments
  • Collects co-pays and balances and makes follow-up appointments as necessary
  • Responds to patient and visitor questions using knowledge of organizational policies and procedures
  • Communicates with other departments, team members, physician offices, hospitals, or patients for information, follow-up, or problem resolution
  • Performs various clerical duties including ordering supplies, opening mail, and operating office machines
  • Assists with medical records and clinical personnel as needed
  • Maintains work and waiting areas in a neat and professional manner
  • Performs special projects as assigned
  • Adheres to all Endeavor Health standards, policies, and procedures
