Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- two years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
- post-job offer documentation of current PPD test with negative results within six months
- documentation of physical examination by a healthcare provider within six months
- documentation of tetanus immunization within 10 years within 30 days of hire
- documentation of Hepatitis B vaccine or positive antibody titer within 30 days of hire
- valid Florida or Georgia driver’s license or ability to obtain
- successful completion of a criminal history background check
- ability to flex to other FMPP clinics as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency with two years of experience or equivalent post-high school education and experience
- valid Florida or Georgia driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to hire
- knowledge of third-party payors, billing, and payment codes
- ability to use computerized scheduling systems
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- preferred ability to take patient vital signs when Certified Medical Assistant is unavailable
Job Duties
- Answering phone calls and prioritizing patient appointments
- scheduling patient healthcare appointments for multiple clinics
- utilizing facility protocols to determine patient placement
- screening incoming calls and forwarding inquiries
- monitoring schedule and managing no-show appointments
- verifying patient insurance and registering patients in EMR
- collecting payments and balancing cash handling daily
