Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work scheduled hours 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with some weekends
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and handle emergent requirements
- Experience or willingness to learn clinical office procedures

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office and database programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to support the mission, vision and patient promise of UT Health
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Creativity and flexibility in handling work demands
- Experience in a clinical office environment preferred
Job Duties
- Performs all front office duties including checking in patients
- Ensures completion of all necessary forms for registration
- Collects copays
- Assists patients when needed
- Answers phones
- Creates and verifies full patient registration upon patient arrival
- Communicates with benefit coordinators if new insurance is obtained
- Communicates with providers regarding patient arrival and requests
- Prepares charts and obtains medical record requests
- Makes phone calls to request medical records from outside providers
- Creates new and follow up appointments
- Obtains referrals and authorization for visits and testing
- Schedules patient appointments and follows up on missed appointments by telephone or mail
- Monitors patient flow including placing patients into rooms
- Keeps patients and families informed of waiting times
- Performs all other duties as assigned
