Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience in a clinical or call center environment
  • Credentialed and in good standing with the Veterans Health Administration
  • Current Basic Life Support certification, renewed as required
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification as specified by contract
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain organization
  • This role is safety sensitive

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent education
  • Strong computer skills and EMR experience preferred
  • Demonstrated high-quality customer service and organization skills
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a clinical or call center environment preferred
  • Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support with periodic renewals
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support as specified by individual VAMC contract
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor

Job Duties

  • Actively assist with the administrative support related to patient care
  • Input all patients' information into VISTA/CPRS
  • Verify any and all clinical reminders due at the time of each patient visit are completed prior to check out
  • Check patients in and/or out of the clinic
  • Schedule clinic appointments
  • Answer phones and timely relay messages
  • Fulfill compliance requirements of the Office of Inspector General, Joint Commission, Environment of Care oversight, lab compliance, and other related items
  • Remain focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes through data input accuracy and within VA guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service to veterans, colleagues, and clinic visitors
  • Participate in clinic outreach events to support enrollment initiatives
  • Support patient enrollment and retention in appointments, follow-up visits, or nurse visits
  • Embrace and support new clinical or operational initiatives
