Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience in a clinical or call center environment
- Credentialed and in good standing with the Veterans Health Administration
- Current Basic Life Support certification, renewed as required
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification as specified by contract
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain organization
- This role is safety sensitive
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent education
- Strong computer skills and EMR experience preferred
- Demonstrated high-quality customer service and organization skills
- Minimum 1-year experience in a clinical or call center environment preferred
- Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration
- Current certification in Basic Life Support with periodic renewals
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support as specified by individual VAMC contract
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Energetic and optimistic demeanor
Job Duties
- Actively assist with the administrative support related to patient care
- Input all patients' information into VISTA/CPRS
- Verify any and all clinical reminders due at the time of each patient visit are completed prior to check out
- Check patients in and/or out of the clinic
- Schedule clinic appointments
- Answer phones and timely relay messages
- Fulfill compliance requirements of the Office of Inspector General, Joint Commission, Environment of Care oversight, lab compliance, and other related items
- Remain focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes through data input accuracy and within VA guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service to veterans, colleagues, and clinic visitors
- Participate in clinic outreach events to support enrollment initiatives
- Support patient enrollment and retention in appointments, follow-up visits, or nurse visits
- Embrace and support new clinical or operational initiatives
