- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Job Duties
- Greets incoming patients and visitors and provides hospitable customer service
- Refers patients to appropriate departments or resources and notifies staff of arrivals
- Registers new patients and schedules, reschedules, or follows up on appointments
- Collects co-pays and balances and arranges follow-up appointments
- Handles telephone calls and messages according to protocol
- Responds to patient and visitor inquiries using knowledge of organizational policies
- Communicates with departments, physicians' offices, and hospital staff as needed for information or problem resolution
- Performs clerical duties such as operating office equipment, ordering supplies, and opening mail
- Maintains a neat and professional work environment
- Assists medical records and clinical personnel as required
- Adheres to all organizational standards, policies, and procedures
