Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
- proficiency with computer software applications including Microsoft Office and EMRs
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- physical ability to sit, stand, bend, talk, hear, walk regularly, and lift up to 25 pounds
- ability to meet vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role preferred
- strong communication skills both written and verbal
- proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
- ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA
Job Duties
- create a positive work environment
- conduct schedule prep process to ensure patient documentation and chart readiness
- perform general office duties including mail sorting, scanning, and office upkeep
- communicate effectively with peers, clinicians, and patients
- provide exceptional customer service by managing patient interactions and handling difficult situations
- manage front desk responsibilities including greeting and checking patients in and out
- support patients with telehealth access and portal troubleshooting
- handle urgent patient requests and triage issues
- collect co-payments and account balances
- complete insurance eligibility verification and resolve issues
- assist clinicians with administrative tasks such as sending letters and faxes
- coordinate with clinicians on patient questions
- audit clinician schedules for accuracy
- maintain a motivational and secure working environment in the practice
