Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year experience in medical receptionist or front desk role
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in person

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in medical front desk or medical receptionist role
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with medical office procedures and insurance billing
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • proficiency in using appointment scheduling software and electronic health records systems
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Welcome patients and visitors directing questions to the appropriate staff
  • schedule provider appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and efficient use of exam and treatment rooms
  • collect co-pays and other payments from patients
  • collect patient ID and necessary information for appointments
  • retrieve patient files sequence paperwork add new patient record forms and prepare files for physician examination or treatment
  • maintain the reception area in a neat and orderly condition
  • assist patients with insurance papers and billing questions
  • participate in the medical office emergency routine when required and call EMS or assist other staff members as needed
