Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • be at minimum a good fit for the job, as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred
  • less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required
  • experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred
  • must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license and driving record within company’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience
  • experience in receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred
  • ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
  • strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • ability to work with handicapped individuals
  • understanding of Alpha filing system
  • understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology preferred
  • ability to use Windows-based software and email
  • ability to use office equipment such as facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, copier
  • act with integrity, honesty, transparency, and respect
  • keep patient at center of all activities

Job Duties

  • Welcome people as they enter the clinic
  • communicate anticipated wait times and/or delays
  • check-in patients including verification of demographic and insurance information
  • complete patient registration from walk-in patients
  • collect all patient out of pocket responsibilities such as deductibles, copays, co-insurance
  • schedule next appointment for patients at check out including cast and measure, delivery, follow up, or prosthetic care plan appointments
  • answer incoming calls
  • act as a concierge of clinic services including assistance in patient experience programs, support groups, and other resources
  • assist revenue cycle management team as needed in obtaining missing or additional information from patients
  • maintain accurate and complete electronic healthcare records on patients
