Job Requirements
- Possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and appropriate liability insurance
- access to personal transportation with the ability to travel to all locations
- continuous use of computers
- frequent use of telephone and/or smart devices
- continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands
- continuous conversational communication
- occasional sitting, reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbing
- occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs
- occasionally working in confined, noisy, dusty areas
- memorize and retain instructions and policies
- read and interpret detailed specifications
Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Certificate Program
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- previous orthopedic clinic experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide safe, effective care to patients
- work independently and execute the AIDET scripting
- accurately perform vital signs and chart in EHR
- be an expert on each provider's policies
- be a resource for all other clinical staff including other MAs, x-ray techs, receptionists, surgery schedulers and the office coordinator
- draw up medications for providers as needed
- perform end of shift room turn over
- assist provider team with in office procedures, as needed
- follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards and policies at all times
- manages difficult or emotional patient situations in an effective, professional manner
- flexibility with schedule in the event that a provider's clinic periodically runs late
- checking in patients
- collecting copays
- handling receptionist responsibilities
- other duties as assigned
- flexibility to travel between locations is required
