Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a Medical Assistant preferably in primary care
  • graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
  • national or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred and required where applicable
  • CPR/BLS certification required at start date
  • phlebotomy experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked
  • review previous medical information and gather updated health information
  • take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures
  • prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction
  • collaborate with care team to develop individual patient care plans
  • perform front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record management, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, check-in and check-out
  • record accurate data in medical records
  • process test results and communicate timely with patients
  • participate in patient outreach to drive engagement
  • maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment
