Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- successful completion of accredited Medical Assistant program
- ability to perform clinical and administrative duties
- excellent communication skills
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- customer service skills
- ability to work under physician supervision
- proof of legal authority to work in the United States
- willingness to undergo pre-employment screening including criminal background check, drug testing, and education verification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- registration or certification as Medical Assistant preferred
- one year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- BLS (CPR) certification preferred
- ability to perform point of care testing
- skilled in blood specimen collection and preparation for laboratory processing
Job Duties
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients
- conduct patient interviews and required screenings
- measure and record patient vital signs
- draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- perform EKGs as needed
- prepare and stock treatment rooms
- register and schedule patients
- manage patient appointments
- greet patients in a professional manner
- collect payments and verify insurance
- communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
- demonstrate positive working relationships with staff and stakeholders
- provide exceptional customer service
- perform other duties as assigned
